Social Marketing and Media Manager
Olympia Friday has more than six years of professional marketing and communications experience spanning several industries. Prior to joining Be Active, she served as the Communications Officer for the Sonja Haynes Stone Center for Black Culture and History at UNC-Chapel Hill. Her professional experience also includes marketing roles with two Triangle-area companies. In 2001, she was an instrumental member of the launch team for News 14 Carolina, North Carolina’s first 24-hour television news channel. Olympia received her MA in English with a concentration in Technical & Professional Communication from East Carolina University and her BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has held committee positions for Dignity U Wear Foundation and The Town of Morrisville and currently serves on the board of The Kidney Coaching Foundation.
