Healthy Active Children (HAC)

The amendment to the Healthy Active Children Policy was adopted by the State Board of Education on April 7, 2005 to help promote a physically active environment for North Carolina students during the school day. The policy requires a minimum of 30 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity per day for all K-8 students.  Download free classroom energizers here and find out more information about the HAC policy and training.

Be Active Steps is an online tool for tracking steps.  Sign up today and create your own personalized walking pages. It can be used to track steps, miles or time. Invite friends and coworkers to walking challenges you create or have a step competition between classrooms. Post photos of teams, walking trails and more. The Be Active Steps Powerpoint will show your team how to begin and can be shared with other members of the school and wellness community! Inclusion Training
