Know Where You Are and Where You WANT to Be

The Be Active Van travels across the state to educate North Carolinians about the importance of physical activity and healthy lifestyles. In addition to several large community festivals, the Be Active Van attends athletic events, including runs, cycling races and triathlons. See the events calendar below to locate an event near you.

Along with providing fun and fitness, the Be Active Van staff will provide fitness assessments and help participants identify their strengths and weaknesses.

The series of fitness tests will let individuals know where they rank in terms of cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility and body composition.  Participants will walk away with information that they can use on their own or discuss with their doctors to make changes for a healthier, more active lifestyle.

The Be Active Van staff will also provide information about Movement for Motion, Be Active’s advocacy program for people who are passionate about physical activity and desire to work together toward meaningful change in North Carolina.  Ask for a demonstration of Be Active Steps, an online physical activity tracking system and one of the many benefits of Movement for Motion membership.
