Lee Sargent
Trustee
Lee Sargent, a current retiree, received a Bachelor of Arts in American History from Harvard University, then continued his education with a Master of Soviet and Eastern European Studies from Tufts University. Most recently, Sargent has served a number of roles within Davidson College Athletics including Assistant Athletic Director and Assistant Football Coach for 18 consecutive years. Prior to these positions he assumed similar roles for Tufts University and Noble & Greenough School for 19 years. Sargent also served in the United States Marine Corps, earning the rank of Captain with honors including: Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm, United States Bronze Star with Combat V, Purple Heart, and Six Campaign Ribbons. His current civic responsibilities include Trustee of the Be Active North Carolina Board of Trustees and Coach of the Davidson Colt Baseball Team. His other interests include carpentry, golf, and road running.
