Partners for Healthy Adults

Be Active North Carolina partners with many great organizations and communities to promote opportunities for adults to become more physically active. We have developed partnerships to promote active lifestyles in several communities statewide.

Advocates for Health in Action (AHA)
Be Active is proud to work with AHA in Wake County to promote physical activity through community engagement and advocacy.

Healthy Alamance
Be Active supports Healthy Alamance – collaboration between the Alamance County Health Department and Alamance Regional Medical Center to help improve access to, and increase awareness of, preventive health services – in its effortsto increase physical activity in Alamance County.

Mebane on the Move (MOTM)
Be Active is supporting the  launch of  several MOTM programs and physical projects available to all community members,  including  the Mebane City Trails System, afterschool running clubs and activity backpacks.

Partnership in Health and Wholeness (PHW)
PHW is an initiative of the NC Council of Churches that develops worship aids and other resources that facilitates congregations to serve as health promotion centers in the community. Be Active supports faith communities by helping to make physical activity a daily norm throughout the lives of members.
